About Me
Professional Interests
I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university. At university I took a full series of calculus, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, database systems and database systems internals, discrete mathematics, matrix algebra, programming languages and a variety of other computer and math related classes. I also did an undergraduate research project on a bioinformatics topic.
I have four years of experience as a software engineer working on security software (endpoint detection and response systems and corporate threat detection), and one and a half years working as a security engineer on threat detection systems.
My long term interest at this time of my career lie in advancing my career as a security engineer. I'm currently pursuing a few certificates from OffSec (OSTH then OSCP). The value that I bring to a team is my fundamental and personal passion for technology and science (as evidenced by the personal projects referenced below) and my dedication developing personal qualities that foster a positive, healthy and collaborative culture (as evidenced by the writing referenced below).
Personal Projects
I've implemented all three major data encryption standards since the original data encryption standard. I implemented them independently using NIST specifications. I also validated the AES and ECC libraries using NIST's test protocols (also implemented using NIST specification).

I've also implemented a historically accurate emulator of an enigma machine.
